As a town planning and development consultant, with over 30 years’ experience in both the public and private sectors, I can provide dependable, carefully considered professional advice.
My strength is in a keen and thorough understanding of the planning system as well as looking for creative solutions and sound strategies to best meet the clients’ needs and maximise development potential.
I have been working mainly in the South West and East, with experience in many areas including Dorset, Hampshire, Surrey, Kent, West Sussex, East Sussex and London boroughs.
I have specialist experience in rural planning in agriculture, equestrian, green belt, national parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. I have secured permissions for new farm buildings, agricultural dwellings, barn conversions, residential redevelopment of green belt equestrian sites, and mobile homes. I also have experience in securing permission for a wide range of residential and commercial and heritage developments.

I hold a BSc in Rural Environment Studies from Wye College in Kent, part of London University, and completed a post graduate Batchelor of Town Planning degree in London in 1986. I have been a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute since 2004.
My career started in local government with four different councils in Kent and Essex where I gained invaluable experience in development management. I was involved in the family farm for 15 years and set up and managed a farm shop and fresh produce business.
I returned to planning in 2004, working as a senior associate, and then as a partner, for a leading Kent planning consultancy, Robinson Escott Planning, followed by another well respected consultancy in Dorset.
